Our Counseling Staff/School Social Worker

Professional school counseling services are available for every student in the school. These services include assistance with educational planning, interpretation of test scores, occupational information, career planning, study aids, help with home, school, and/or social concerns, or any questions the students may feel they would like to discuss with the counselor. Students wishing to visit a counselor should contact the secretary for an appointment.

In the spring of 2019, the Clinton School District announced the launch of the rootEd Alliance and the exciting opportunities this program would offer our high school students beginning in the 2019-2020 school year.

It is through the Clinton School District’s partnership with rootEd Alliance and the Ayers Foundation, that Clinton High School now has a dedicated staff member who will help students navigate their next steps in life. Mrs. Lindy Johnson serves as the district's Access Counselor and provides students with three things they need to be successful in the next chapter of their lives; advice, exposure, and access to financial resources.

rootEd Alliance and the Ayers Foundation is a collaborative philanthropic effort committed to clearing a path to a stronger future for students after high school. rootEd Alliance, in partnership with the Ayers Foundation and BDT & Company, provides an innovative new approach to creating more opportunities for our students. Clinton High School alum, David Steward played a pivotal role in bringing rootEd Alliance to the district. The Clinton School District is one of only a few districts in the nation to be a part of rootEd Alliance and the Ayers Foundation.
